Get ready to power up! Whether you’re running a sleek QRP rig, pushing big power on HF, working birds via satellite, or chasing signals on VHF/UHF, we want you to bring your gear and join the fun!
This is more than just a meetup; it’s a high-energy gathering of like-minded patriots and radio enthusiasts. Bring your favorite setup to show off, swap technical secrets, compare notes, and soak up the collective knowledge of the community. No pressure, no logging, and definitely no contest-style stress—just pure, unadulterated passion for the hobby and great company.
We are all about growing the community, so we’re putting out a challenge: grab your local club or radio buddies and host your own “Hams in the Park” event! If you’re planning one on the same day, let us know! We’re aiming to bridge the distance and make some long-range contacts via HF to link our parks together.

2026 Season
The 2026 season dates are:
July 11, Sept 12, Oct 10, 2026
All events are at Long Lake Regional Park except for August which is held at Swing Bridge Park in Inver Grove Heights. See below for more information.
Directions – For Long Lake Park
- 35W from the South: Exit at West County Road E2 (26). Head West then turn right on 5th Ave NW. Continue onto Old Hwy 8.
- 35W from the North: Take 694 West
- From 694: Exit on Long Lake Road (40). Turn south and follow 10th St NW to Old Hwy 8. Travel north on Old Hwy 8 to the park entrance.
- At the park entrance, travel past the railroad tracks then turn right. We’ll be in or around the parking lot.
There are bathrooms but no power hook ups. There are many trees and open areas or for antenna placement, along with open areas available to set up a table.
